Shubh Navratri 2022 ! Significance of Navratri Day 6 (ShashtiTithi) - Dedicated to Goddess Katyayani

Maa Katyayani:

The 6th day of Navratri is dedicated to goddess Katyayani. She is one of the most important forms of Durga Maa and her detailed description is given in ancient scriptures like Skand Puran, Kalka Puran, Bodh Scriptures, Jain scriptures, Devi Bhagwat, Devi Puran, and Markandeya Puran. She is called by other names of Chandi, Chandika, Mahishasur Mardini, Bhadrkalika and many other names. She was the only one who could kill the demon Mahishasura, a demon who tormented the whole world and everyone was helpless.
