Goddess Chandraghanta :

The third day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Chandraghanta. She is an incarnation of Goddess Brahmacharini which means that goddess Brahmacharini did an extreme Tapasya to get Lord Shiva as her Husband and in the next form, she is now the consort of Lord Shiva. Goddess Chandraghanta is the married form of the Goddess Parvati.

Appearance:

She adorns a half moon on her forehead that enhances her beauty and the moon looks like a bell. This is the reason that she has been given the name ‘Chadraghanta’.
